Directions to the Hearing Centre
By road
The venue is near the town centre. Pay & display car parks are near by. If approaching from A5087 Hindpool Road, at the roundabout by Cornerhouse retail park, follow the signpost for the town centre. This will take you onto Abbey Road. At the next roundabout head straight over. The Venue will be on your left and is marked law courts. The nearest parking is available just after the law courts off Holker Street, which you can get to by taking the first right after the venue.
By Rail/Underground
Barrow-in-Furness railway station is a short walk from the venue. Exit the station into the car park. Follow the road, and at the end turn left. At the traffic lights turn right and follow the road. By Bus
The closest bus stop is in front of the venue. Buses that stop outside the hearing venue are the 1, 3 and 6A. For more information about bus times, please visit:www.transportdirect.info.
Can I bring my Children to the Hearing Centre?
Yes, but please remember that children should not be left unattended at any time. The hearing centre does not have anyone to look after children and our staff cannot supervise them or be held responsible for their safety.
In most circumstances you cannot take children into the hearing room with you. They can stay in the waiting room as long as there is another adult with you to look after them.

- Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the building
- Mobile Phones must be turned off in the hearing room
- Please keep all personal possessions with you at all times. HM Courts & Tribunal Service Staff cannot be held responsible for their safety.

Accessibility and Facilities
- Changing facilities are available at Barrow court, please ask the court usher. However, children should not be brought to court unless they have someone to look after them whilst you are in court.
- Guide Dogs are welcome at this Court.
- Rooms are available on request.
- This Court has hearing enhancement facilities.
- There are no public parking facilities at the Court. The nearest Car Parks are situated in High street directly opposite the Law Courts or alternatively at the Railway Station off Holker Street.
- Refreshments are available.
- Disabled access and toilet facilities.
Important venue information
This venue operates strict security checks, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your hearing time to allow you to clear these checks and gain access to the Tribunal waiting room.
