By road
From M4 Eastbound (Bristol/London). Exit Junction 24. On major roundabout (known as The Coldra) take 5th exit for A48 to Langstone/Chepstow. At the mini roundabout (about 100 yards), turn left and Columbus House is directly ahead, next to The Hilton Hotel.
From M4 Westbound (Cardiff). Exit Junction 24 on the middle lane. On major roundabout, (The Coldra) take 2nd exit for A48 Langstone/Chepstow. At the mini roundabout (about 100 yards), turn left and Columbus House is directly ahead, next to The Hilton Hotel.
From M5/M50 (Birmingham). Follow on to the A40/A449 (Southbound). This is the main route from Ross-on-Wye, through Monmouth to Newport. The A449 ends at the major roundabout (The Coldra) at Newport. Take the first exit for the A48 Langstone/Chepstow. At the mini roundabout (about 100 yards), turn left and Columbus House is directly ahead, next to The Hilton Hotel.
By taxi
Regular taxis are also available at the train station. Ask the driver to the Tribunals Service, Columbus House in Langstone Business Park (next to the Hilton Hotel)
A limited minibus service is provided by the Tribunals Service to supplement local transport. This service will operate during the day between Newport train station and Columbus House. For departure times please contact the venue on 0300 123 1711 .
By Rail/Underground
The nearest train station is Newport (South Wales). For information on the train times and operators please call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 or log onto www.nationalrail.co.uk and click on timescales.
The station is approximately 15 minutes from Columbus House by taxi. Alternatively take a bus from Newport Bus Station.
By bus
Take bus numbers 64, 73 or 74 from Newport Bus Station to the stop at Blossom Close, which is nearest stop to the hearing centre. The buses leave the station about every 15 minutes and it is a 15-20 minute journey.
To get to Newport Bus Station from the Train Station
Exit the Train Station and follow the BLUE direction signs for the bus station across the road and to the pedestrian City Centre. Then, follow the DARK GREEN signs to the right and past Newport Market on your left. Bear left at the Principality Building Society and right at the crossroads. Passing the Passport Office on the right, continue towards the entrance of Marks and Spencer, where you will see the Bus Station ahead.
Facilities and Accessibility
The centre provides easy access for wheelchairs and carriages. A loop system to assist people with hearing difficulties.
Public toilets and baby changing facilities. Public pay telephones. Drinking water dispensers. A quiet area for prayer. Please ask at reception for help to find these and any other facilities you may need.
There are vending machines on site with snacks and drinks. Locally, there are several establishments within walking distance to the centre that provide hot or cold refreshments. Please ask at reception and they will provide directions and advise you of the eating areas. Please note we do not allow hot food to be consumed on the premises.
